Invaluable?!

“How good something is should never be determined by its cost, designer, origin, or its perceived value by others.”
Ashly Lorenzana

depression

Reaching to find the value of herself in the jungle of her thoughts she lost her footing and slowly began to succumb to the words of others.

You’re not good enough

You’re not pretty enough

Change your hair

Don’t wear that

You’re too dark

You’re too thin

You’re not smart enough

Why do you talk like that

You’re hair is ugly

depression 2

The words were too much so she decided life was not worth living. She heard the voices tell her to just end it all because no one would care but some one took the time to show her she was valuable!

It was not measured with how she looked! It was not measured by how she spoke! It was not measured by what she wore!

There was not a tool that could measure her value because GIRL you’re invaluable!

As she poured from her cup…..

“There is no envy, jealousy, or hatred between the different colors of the rainbow. And no fear either. Because each one exists to make the others’ love more beautiful.”
― Aberjhani,

colors

She never came empty handed her cup was always pouring…….

She knew she was creating a rainbow of colors all from different mixtures of life…..

She knew her rainbow would not just have the traditional colors so she was equipped to take a little of this and mix with a little of that to come up with the perfect colors…..

As she poured from her cup…..

She realized that some colors would be harder to blend and she didn’t want them to stand out so she added some softness of her tint and hue to it……

She took the petri dish and gently mixed the colors together so that one color would not outshine the other….

She added a dab of this and a dab of that because her goal was a beautifully blended rainbow that would reflect agape in the purest form

As she poured from her cup……

She knew in order for the rainbow to do what it was intended to do she had to let each color know you were chosen with a purpose and goal in mind

She knew that the beauty of the rainbow was better reflected when each color took its rightful place

We needed something to express our joy, our beauty, our power. And the rainbow did that.”

Broken pieces

broken pieces

Is that all you see?

But you don’t know what she endured at the age of three.

First it was her heart

Then it was her trust

No one came to save her but if you must…

Her innocence was stolen from the start and all she tried to to do was give everyone her heart

The silent screams and fear in her eyes

All while she held in the cries

You judge what you see

But in her mind she’s still three

The fight of her life all begin then

But yet you judge her for giving in

She used the only tools she had

And now the whole world is mad

Don’t label her a slut

Don’t call her a hoe

Don’t say she’s too easy

Because you don’t know her reasoning

Gently grab her by her hand and help love her back

Because one piece at a time is all it takes to get her back on track

Out of breath!

Out of breath!

Surrounded by walls that quickly started to close her in

she slowly begin to lose her breath.

Gasping for air she tried to find a place

to go to escape the closing all around her

but she was stuck in that place.

trapped 2

She slowly slide her back down the wall to lower her head in defeat

and that’s when she realized it was all in her head!

MENTAL HEALTH is real….don’t let people fight the battle alone!

The next step

The next step

“Failure is not the deterrent for the next try. Rather, it is information that empowers the next step.”
― Craig D. Lounsbrough

The one step that is holding us back tends to be the one we didn’t take. Life is about walking a bit, running a bit, struggling a bit and leaping a bit but you can never make it to the next level if you don’t fail a bit.

Failure is inevitable!

It may alter how you get there but it should be the driving force behind when you get there!

Never miss a moment because you decided it didn’t work the first time!

After you fail you must get back up again because it on a whole different level from falling.

Keep in the mind that making is a mistake is like you fell down but failure is when you decide to stay down!

Black Journey

“The beautiful journey of today can only begin when we learn to let go of yesterday.”
― Steve Maraboli

I recently got a new vehicle and it is a black journey. I didn’t realize the significance of the vehicle until yesterday. My life has been a black journey up until this point because I would not let go of the past!  I was fearful out what was ahead so I clung to the known because it was safer.

I know the road ahead of me is so promising but fear strangles the life out of you and all your energy is spent trying to figure out how to keep going.

When I walked into the dealership I knew what I wanted and had everything picked out in my mind but something about this black journey just pulled me in. I didn’t want to test drive it because I knew it was just what I needed to get me to my next destination in life. The one thing that was holding me back was now getting ready to launch me into the journey of a life time. It gave me my freedom back!!!

The Load You Carry

The Load You Carry

“I took it off.
I did not want to carry it with me anymore.”
― AvaYou Are Safe Here.

She always looked like she was in so much pain and agony. They judged her by the weight she was carrying on the outside but those who really knew her knew it came from the crown she wore on her head. Often the crown we carry on the outside can never compare to the crown that we carry on the inside……….

CROWN:

of disbelief

of grief

of doubt

of misunderstandings

of worry

of fear

of failure

of hurt

of pain

of confusion

of a broken heart

THEN:

She realized that the way she was carrying the crown was too much. It was weighing her down…….Image result for heavy crown on a head

So she took it off!

NO!

NO!

“Sometimes “No” is the kindest word.”
Vironika Tugaleva

All she ever heard:

Was no you can’t go!

No you can’t stay!

No you would not like this at all!

No you won’t fit in!

No it’s not your type of people!

No I don’t want you following me!

No I don’t want to be seen with you!

No can you just go home!

As she hung her head in defeat and retreated to the place in her mind where NO was a place of acceptance the phone rang. It was in that moment she realized that NO was the kindest word she had ever heard because in a blink of an eye everything had just changed.

Your words…..

Your words…..

“Among my most prized possessions are words that I have never spoken.”
― Orson Scott Card

silent-actions

So many words are hidden inside because often she saw more than she cared to share. So many  words left unspoken because she heard things she shouldn’t have heard but did not think anyone would believe her. Like a pop that has been dropped or shaken one too many times her mind was ready to explode! Look at her eyes they are speaking for her but yet no one hears her hidden words. Look at her body language that was once strong and poise it is now weak and broken!

unspoken

Lost in her own thoughts! Starring off into the zone that she has created where no one can pull her back but the voice inside of head. She’s silently calling for your help! Can you help her? Can you see her? Did you just hear the whisper of her heart? It is crying out “SAVE ME” but no one came close enough to hear it! The beats of her heart begins to slow down because she thinks no one cares. As she slowly floats away…..

Like a vapor she slowly begins to fade back into that safe place of refuge! The place where she can be alone with her thoughts! Drifting….drifting…drifting…away to a place that no one can find her! She wants to be saved but no one can hear HER WORDS!

She is silently speaking..listen closely….help her before it is too latedrifting

We are living in a season where people’s WORDS are not being heard. From the victim of child abuse, to the depressed person, to the scared cop, to the hurting child, to the oppressed man, to the abused woman, to the rejected boy, to the scared man….look at their actions they are a reflection of unspoken words!

Our way of life….

Our way of life….

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Your way is not my way and my way is not your way! I embrace you and you embrace me without thinking I should conform to your way of thinking or doing things. When you look in the mirror embrace your way of life and realize all that comes along with it! Don’t turn your nose up at me! Don’t point your fingers at me! Don’t whisper when I walk by! Don’t laugh at me and I will give you the same courtesy.

Created to be yourself not a duplicate! Looking around you will see so many people who are different shapes, colors, sizes, genders and nationalities. No one is greater than the other so embrace our way of life..

path 2

We all have a path laid out before us. If you veer to the left or right you may end up falling just like I will…so again our way of life belongs to us not others.

Never lower yourself to the level of others by trying to justify who you are….do yourself the greatest favor and accept who you are and those things you don’t like then change them!
